The perfect blend of functionality and sophisticated aesthetics.

An ability to strike the right balance between functionality and aesthetics: this is why Cantieri delle Marche chose “full-bodied” sintered stone to finish the bespoke worktops of its new Explorer Yacht M/Y Babbo. This yacht is characterised by its particularly convivial layout: in fact, it can hold up to 30 guests on board, offering a number of different buffet and chill-out areas.

Sintered stone: ideal for nautical applications.

Lapitec was chosen for the worktops of various items of furniture on the deck of the yacht, thanks to its great resistance to weather conditions and salty environments, making sintered stone the ideal material for nautical applications. The Satin and Lux finishes were chosen in the colour Grigio Cemento, opting for a 12 mm thickness. Lapitec tops were used for a piece of furniture on the main deck and for another three pieces of furniture on the upper deck. On the sun deck, Lapitec was also used for the surface of the outdoor bar area and barbecue.

A modern and compact kitchen.
Sintered stone was also chosen for the worktop of the yacht’s kitchen. Here, the designers preferred a more structured finish and so opted for Vesuvio, featuring subtle bush hammering that creates a strong, dynamic look. The Nero Antracite colour goes perfectly with the very technical aesthetics of this galley: in fact, the cabinets, doors and appliances are all made from stainless steel. The worktop has unique rounded edging, which blends in perfectly with the rest of the furnishings.

Resistance and naturalness.

Lapitec’s great resistance to weather and environmental conditions, its natural colour and the fact that the slabs are extremely easy to work with, made this the material of choice for this specific application.
